Hotels to experience the soul of Oslo

In the city centre, a few dozen metres from some public transport lines and Karl Johans gate, a comfortable and very cosy solution is Hobo, a boutique hotel with a distinctive décor that is appreciated for several reasons (in addition to value for money) the liveability and design of the common areas that reflect the philosophy of a place to meet and also to work (the name is inspired by the bohemian nomads of the United States in the 1930s), the quality of the services, the possibility of participating in breathing technique lessons with the instructors/therapists of the Endor centre, a well-stocked cocktail bar with DJ sets and events that are also open to those not staying at the hotel. The highlight of the Hobo is the scenic Kreatur restaurant, where gourmet dishes are served accompanied by an excellent selection of international wines. Other hotels to consider in order to understand the spirit of Oslo are the Bristol, an elegant Edwardian-era structure (it opened in 1920) in a quiet street in the old city centre, and above all The Thief, a sort of contemporary art gallery, one of the emblems (also thanks to its famous cocktail bar) of Aker Brygge, Oslo's new cool and fashionable area.
