Oslo in winter, emotions and experiences in the Nobel Peace Prize capital
Cruising the fjord on electric boats
Oslo is a city that has a special relationship with water, because the city was born on the sea, at the end of a 120 km long fjord. One of the recommended experiences, even in winter, is the early afternoon mini-cruise (returning at sunset) on the 100% electric boats of the Brim Explorer company. You sail along the entire city harbour area, admire the avant-garde architecture of the Opera House and the Munch Museum from a privileged vantage point, and sail up the fjord for a few miles, savouring the atmosphere of a true Nordic setting, with its small islands populated by colourful cottages (many of these cottages are the summer residences of many Norwegians) and snow-capped mountain peaks.
