Dallo sci alle ciaspole, via alla stagione della neve in Lombardia

Winter in Livigno is fun at high altitude

The panorama that Little Tibet is showing these days is already a typical winter one, with the white mantle (certainly not abundant) covering the entire valley. Livigno, which will host the freestyle and snowboard competitions on the occasion of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, is therefore ready to welcome tourists and day visitors for a season that will end at the beginning of May under the motto "alpine energy" and fun to be had on the slopes of the district (74 tracks for 115 km of extension) and beyond. For those who ski and board, the most important novelties concern the Mottolino area, where the new Monte Sponda chairlift, the first 8-seater in the whole of Lombardy, will be installed. The menu for those who want to do something else includes snowshoeing and ski mountaineering, horse-drawn sleigh rides and heli-skiing, ice skating and paragliding, fat biking and Nordic walking, cross-country skiing in the 30 km city ring and finally biathlon, to be tried in the new dedicated area. This year, too, there is no shortage of promotions: until 20 December (and from 12 April to the end of the season), the ski pass is free for a stay of at least 4 consecutive nights in a hotel or at least 7 in a flat in affiliated facilities.
