Dallo sci alle ciaspole, via alla stagione della neve in Lombardia
Ponte di Legno and Passo del Tonale, the beauty of skiing on the glacier
The Pontedilegno-Tonale ski resort also got off to a bumpy start, with only fifteen or so slopes open at the moment out of a total of 41: when fully open, however, there are about 100 km of slopes served by 28 ski lifts, with the possibility of covering almost 2,000 metres in altitude without ever taking off the skis. On Saturday, 7 December, with the 'Winter Opening Party' to the rhythm of dance music, the season officially kicks off in the most famous resort in the Brescia area (in the province there are 253 km of slopes and 74 lifts, from Borno to Valcamonica, passing through Maniva and Montecampione), while waiting for the opening of the resort's jewel in the crown, the Paradiso slope on the Presena glacier, the longest in Europe, at an altitude of over 3,000 metres. Also not to be missed is the thrill of skiing under the stars on the perfectly lit slopes of Valena at Passo Tonale and Valbione at Ponte di Legno. As far as the cost of access to the slopes is concerned, this year too the "Smart Skipass" will be available, a proposal that makes use of variable discounts depending on the time of booking (the sooner you buy a day or multi-day ticket online, the greater the reduction you are entitled to, up to a maximum of 25% off the list price).
