In Valmalenco with the world's largest cable car

Even the ski resort that looks towards the border Alps and offers unspoilt views around Lake Palù (where the historic 'Ca' Latrones' hut will reopen this year), the opening of the lifts has been postponed to 6 December. The artificial snow-making facilities should nevertheless guarantee good coverage of the approximately 50 km of Valmalenco Ski Resort tracks, including the Thoeni slope, whose maximum slope gradient reaches 55%. Among the merits of this resort is certainly the convenience with which it is reached (less than two hours by car from Milan and about 30 minutes from Sondrio, if one goes up by train) and the Snow Eagle, the largest cable car in the world with a cabin capacity of up to 160 people. For lovers of snowboarding and freestyle, the Palù Park is one of the largest areas for this discipline (in recent years it has hosted numerous World Cup events). Those who prefer silence and contact with nature, on the other hand, can delight in snowshoeing by walking to Alpe Palù and around Caspoggio, or tackle the routes designed for electric fat bikes.
