Paganella: wellbeing, culture and nature go hand in hand

It is a destination that has made environmental awareness and intelligent conservation the cornerstone of its development strategy; the events that bring its summer to life are therefore concrete examples of this vision, rather than merely opportunities for entertainment. Nestled between the Brenta Dolomites, Lake Molveno and the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park, Paganella was the first Italian tourist destination to become a Benefit Corporation and has made a concrete commitment to sustainability, with targeted investments in alternative transport and in a form of tourism capable of generating benefits for local communities too. This philosophy also inspires the Mountain Future Stories project, which, until mid-August, brings a series of communicators, writers, mountaineers and explorers to Andalo, Molveno, Fai della Paganella and Spormaggiore to reflect on the future of the mountains. Among the most significant events are sessions dedicated to inclusion through climbing, climate change and the conservation of natural resources, featuring documentaries and travel stories that invite participants to view the Alpine environment from new perspectives. In September, the baton passes to Orme – Festival dei Sentieri, dedicated this year to the theme ‘A trail is a dialogue’. At the heart of the event is the Parco del Respiro in Fai della Paganella, where the ‘Dialoghi nel Bosco Bootcamp’ trail combines forest bathing, popular science and wellness experiences in nature. Among the event’s distinguished guests, Giovanni Allevi stands out as the star of ‘Armonie Invisibili’ on 11 September, an event where music, philosophy and landscape merge into a single experience. The festival concludes with the traditional Desmontegada, the parade of herds returning from the mountain pastures, a symbol of a mountain region that continues to cherish its roots whilst looking to the future.
