The rocky sensitivity of the Living Crib in Pezze di Greco
The tradition of living nativity scenes in many towns in Apulia is an ancient one. The one that has been staged during the holidays in Pezze di Greco in the Brindisi area since 1987, scheduled for 26, 27, 28 December and 3 to 6 January, is perhaps the most popular in the entire region because of its very realistic setting in the Lama del Trappeto rock village and the sensitivity of its performers. Both peasant traditions and the Christian mystery of the incarnation of the Son of God are described and depicted. Both young and old participate, under the careful and accurate direction of Don Donato Liuzzi.
