Ten exciting adventures on the island of Ischia

Sea tour: from Scannella to Sorgeto to Scarrupata

Ischia, when evening approaches, magnetises with its sea, urging you to plough through its waters. Aboard a hull piloted by the nostromies of Giosymar Ischia Charter, one sails the waves of the Tyrrhenian Sea, discovering the greyish and ochre layered cliffs of Scannella. We dive at Sorgeto where hot springs emerge from the sea abysses and the people of Ischia love to bathe at night. When you turn towards Maronti Bay, you find yourself facing the islet of Sant'Angelo with the possibility of mooring and strolling through the fishing village with its colourful houses. On foot, you can reach the dark beach of Maronti where harmless volcanic activity in the subsoil gives rise to vapours, called fumaroles, in which, under the guidance of a lifeguard, you can even cook eggs, chicken, potatoes. The Scoglio della Nave (Ship's Rock) below Punta Imperatore is also awe-inspiring. Another unforgettable inlet during the crossing is Scarrupata, a vertiginous virgin bay. The Grotta Verde, on the other hand, only opens up to those who swim into its cavern, while the Grotta del Mago is suggestive of the play of light that has made it the realm of the most mysterious legends. At the Wall of the Elephant, one is confronted by a long trunk, but certainly the two rocks of the Lovers are the most popular. Too bad, though, that right behind them is the mother-in-law cliff.....
