At Panza amidst the vertiginous vineyards of the D'Ambra sisters

Sara and Marina D'Ambra are strong-willed young women, resembling their highland wines. The two sisters represent the latest generation of this wine dynasty that has been active in Panza since 1888. The most spectacular of their estates is Frassitelli located at an altitude of 600 metres just below the summit of Epomeo where the terrain is so steep that a monorail is needed. Participating in their wine tasting, at the end of a sunset walk, is truly the most exhilarating experience on Ischia. This heroic vine-growing allows them to serve bottles of Biancolella, Forastera and Per' e Palummo, appreciated all over the world. At the Tenuta Calitto, on the other hand, you can stay in this 19th-century mansion surrounded by rows of vines with an adjoining church and spa where you can undergo pleasant wine treatments.
