Trento and its surroundings to discover in seven stages
The panorama from the 'Busa degli Orsi' (Bear's Busa)
One of the most striking viewpoints over the city of Trento is the Sardagna panoramic terrace 'Busa degli Orsi', which offers a spectacular view of the city and the surrounding hilly landscape. The place is named after the famous bears that inhabited the area until the 1990s, thus recalling a significant component of the area's naturalistic memory. The Busa degli Orsi can be easily reached from the centre of Trento, either by taking a comfortable path in about an hour or by using the suburban bus. Long left in a state of neglect, the natural terrace was recovered and returned to public use in 2017. Since then, it has become a popular destination for visitors and tourists, attracted by the possibility of admiring the city from a privileged vantage point.
