Waterfalls in the Tuorno Valley

There is perhaps no village greener than Savoia di Lucania in the Potentino area. The seventy-hectare Bosco Luceto consists of turkey oaks and hornbeams among which you can spread out your picnic blanket. And above all, you are happily splashed by the gushes of the ten waterfalls formed by the Tuorno torrent, which reach 22 metres in their fall height. This entire Vallone is exceptional on a geological level for the overlap between the Apennine Platform and the Lagonegrese Basin, as well as for the mosaic of mineral water springs, a sulphurous spring, the many stalactites and stalagmites, the water slides, and the water pools. There is also an old mill.
