UKRAINE - 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster - 26 April

The 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster (1986-2026) will commemorate the accident that occurred on 26 April 1986. The explosion of reactor 4 of the V.I. Lenin nuclear power plant caused the release of a considerable amount of radioactive material and remains the worst atomic accident in history, with long-term health and environmental consequences.
