Poi stiamo portando avanti convintamente la legge quadro sul riconoscimento del caregiver familiare, a partire da quello convivente. Abbiamo appena approvato il Piano nazionale sulla promozione dei diritti delle persone con disabilità, insieme all'Osservatorio nazionale. Domani sarà la Giornata internazionale sui diritti delle persone con disabilità, lo presenteremo ufficialmente e ci saranno anche tante altre iniziative correlate per accendere la luce su questi temi che spesso non vengono considerati". ROMA (ITALPRESS) - "In vista della giornata mondiale delle persone con disabilità, il 3 dicembre, non possiamo non ricordare la convenzione ONU sui diritti delle persone con disabilità, un faro che indica la strada, tutti i diritti effettivamente universalmente riconosciuti ma su cui c'è ancora molto da lavorare perché siano effettivamente tutelati". Così la senatrice Giusy Versace, a margine della conferenza "Disabilità: sport e lavoro trampolino per l'inclusione" in Senato. "Come intergruppo parlamentare della disabilità, avendolo io voluto ricostituire qui in Senato all'inizio della legislatura, non potevo non organizzare questo importante momento di incontro per mettere anche in luce gli esempi virtuosi, ma la cosa che più mi sta a cuore è la presenza di tanti studenti: voglio contagiare positivamente le nuove generazioni affinché ci aiutino ad agevolare questo processo culturale importante verso l'inclusione. Le persone con disabilità hanno bisogno in molti casi di tanta assistenza, di supporto, ma c'è una fetta importante di persone con disabilità che chiede solo l'opportunità di sentirsi parte della società e di dare il contributo.
