At the Aquarium to participate in saving sharks and posidonia

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Looking right at the Pelagos International Cetacean Sanctuary in the Tyrrhenian Sea, this Aquarium is the third largest in Italy. It also carries out important research to make people understand the importance of the shark in the marine ecosystem, which sees this fish at risk through the LIFE European Sharks project, so much so that in the tanks inside it one can admire many specimens from the zebra shark to the bamboo shark. Children take part in workshops focusing on the recovery of posidonia for the purpose of its rooting, just as they are invited to understand the history of sea urchins, gorgonians and red damselfish. Jellyfish and seahorses are seen in action. On the first floor, a reptile learning path is followed, while in the understairs area, an interesting behind-the-scenes tour is given to understand how an aquarium works and the energy supply system. Turtles of all sizes are also cared for here. In his open-air Surfer Joe Diner you can dine and listen to live music.
