All the beauty of Livorno in ten summer adventures
Everyone goes to the Bagni Pancaldi from the Queen to Virzi
The Bagni Pancaldi, among the city's nine bathing establishments, is a very popular bathing microcosm in the sense that it has been frequented by ordinary people since 1846. For four generations it has been run by the Bonaventura family, who also take great care of disabled guests. Located next to the Terrazza Mascagni, it is the oldest establishment in Italy and remains open all year round thanks also to the musical events that are hosted in the first-floor hall decorated with plant-themed friezes. The immense swimming pool is fed by seawater, the platforms, the beach umbrellas made of ecological materials, the cabins made of white cloths, the arenas reserved for games, the siuski dives, the loose and musical speech of those who frequent it, and the atmosphere reminiscent of the films of Livorno director Virzì make it a summer institution.
