In Siena, former barracks can become student residences

In Siena, the complex of the former Santa Chaira barracks, in use by the Army, is located near the historic centre, only 650 metres from Piazza del Campo. It consists of two buildings: a shed and the former convent. The convent is a historic building with four floors: basement, ground floor, mezzanine and first floor. A change of use is required for the combination of hotel and student residence. The project to change the building must be approved by the Cultural Heritage Authority and requires a building permit.
