The recovery of the former seaport in the Gargano

Located in Apulia, on the Gargano peninsula, the military area of Cagnano Carano (Foggia) was built at the end of the 19th century by the Italian State: it is a former seaplane port that is in a state of neglect with general structural decay. It is possible to build maritime moorings for pleasure boats and leisure facilities on Lake Varano. The area complies with the urban plan for the transformation into accommodation facilities with the construction of structures to be used as bars, restaurants, hotels and related service infrastructures. Authorisation from the Superintendence for Cultural Heritage is required. It belongs to Difesa servizi spa (a company owned by the Ministry of Defence). A concession is proposed by public tender
