Ten itineraries for discovering Italia and Europe on two wheels

The bicycle as a means of travel, as an opportunity to get to know territories at a slow pace, passing through villages and landscapes of all kinds, from the sea to the mountains, experiencing the thrill of the air directly in your face and unique views. 3 June is World Bike Day, an anniversary established by the United Nations to promote a sustainable and inclusive model of mobility. Today, two-wheelers are also the engine of a tourism capable of combining experience, culture, nature and food and wine that continues to grow in Italia. According to data released by FIAB and Bicitalia.it, this sector is worth about 4.7 billion euros and could exceed 11 billion by 2033, while 89 million total presences of cycle tourists will be recorded in 2024 by Isnart-Unioncamere. The summer season is already in full swing and one of the most important appointments for cycling enthusiasts is just around the corner, the Green Road Award 2026, the Italian Oscar for cycling tourism, which will award prizes on 19 June in Sanremo for the most beautiful cycle routes in Italia (last year Cycling Riviera won) under the banner of a theme that well represents travelling on two wheels: 'silence'.
