Ela Park: the geographical and historical heart of Graubünden

Vista sul grazioso villaggio di Jenisberg nel Parc Ela. Si tratta di una tappa del nuovo percorso escursionistico a lunga percorrenza Parc Ela Trek.

With its vast expanse, the Ela Park is the largest regional nature park in Switzerland, encompassing an extraordinary variety of landscapes ranging from rugged Alpine peaks to gentle, historic valley floors. This area, a crossroads of ancient trade routes through the Spluga, Julier and Albula passes, is a favourite destination for history-loving hikers and mountain bikers. The network of well-signposted cycle paths allows visitors to explore unspoilt medieval villages and Romanesque churches, whilst walking routes lead to high-altitude lakes with turquoise waters. The strong cultural identity linked to the Romansh language is also reflected in the local cuisine, with alpine huts offering traditional dishes prepared with organic, locally sourced ingredients – perfect for refuelling after a day of intense physical activity along the ridge trails.
