Whilst it does not directly preview a production model, the Cuorerosso serves as a way for Alfa Romeo to showcase the proportions and technical solutions of its cars for the coming years. It is a 2+2 coupé measuring 4.70 metres long, 1.98 metres wide and just 1.33 metres high, with a wheelbase of 2.93 metres and a drag coefficient (Cx) of 0.28. The stated weight is 1,750 kg. Among the features envisaged are air suspension, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes and by-wire steering. The brand’s envisaged top-of-the-range powertrain is a 2.9-litre V6 full-hybrid engine paired with Q4 all-wheel drive, a torque converter gearbox and a carbon-fibre driveshaft. The same platform has been designed to accommodate electric, plug-in, mild and full-hybrid powertrains as well.
