Peugeot E-T16 Concept

The name is a direct reference to the 205 T16, which won the World Rally Championship in 1985 and 1986, but the E-T16 is primarily intended to give a preview of the next generation of the Peugeot 208. The prototype uses three electric motors – one at the front and two on the rear axle – delivering a total power output of 816 cavalli, and features torque vectoring. Peugeot claims a power-to-weight ratio of less than 2 kg/CV, a 0–100 km/h time of 2.5 seconds and just 16 seconds to go from zero to 300 km/h. In Performance mode, it is also said to be capable of completing three consecutive laps of the Nürburgring Nordschleife without any reduction in power. These figures will remain purely conceptual, whilst the future 208 will incorporate several elements showcased in Paris, starting with the new lighting signature, the Hypersquare and the digital evolution of the i-Cockpit.
