Citroën 2 CV Concept

Citroën is drawing inspiration from the 2CV without producing a modern replica. The concept car is 3.76 metres long – even shorter than the latest versions of its predecessor – is fully electric and aims to keep the weight at around 1,000 kg. The production model derived from this project is expected by 2028; it will be manufactured in Europe, and Citroën has indicated a target price in the region of 15,000 euros, taking advantage of the regulations set out for future European electric cars. There are some interesting design choices aimed at reducing costs and complexity, such as bumpers divided into separately replaceable sections, simplified bodywork surfaces, 18-inch steel wheels and a fabric roof. The interior lacks a traditional dashboard, whilst the central screen measures 8 inches and the front seat can be removed.
