Smart #2

Perhaps the most important new development for smart is also the smallest. The #2 brings the brand back into the segment vacated by the fortwo and measures just 2.75 metres, with two seats and rear-wheel drive. It is built on the new ECA platform developed specifically for this model and is fitted with a 60 kW electric motor at the rear, equivalent to 82 cavalli and 130 Nm. For the European market, a 35.8 kWh LFP battery is planned, offering a range of up to 290 km (WLTP) and a preliminary energy consumption of 13.6 kWh/100 km. It supports DC charging up to 65 kW, with a charge time from 10% to 80% taking 20 minutes, whilst AC charging reaches 11 kW. One of the most interesting figures is its turning circle of 6.95 metres. The tailgate is split into two sections, and the lower section can support up to 120 kg.
