Peugeot RCZ Vision

The RCZ Vision brings back to the Paris Motor Show a name that was dropped from Peugeot’s range in 2015, but beneath its coupé bodywork it primarily showcases technologies that the brand is developing for the next generation of electric vehicles. The prototype produces 500 cavalli and uses a solid-state battery developed in collaboration with Factorial Energy, integrated into a 1,000-volt electric architecture. The battery pack is just 110 millimetres thick, and Peugeot claims a range of up to 600 km, with a target energy consumption of 11.5 kWh/100 km and a charge time from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in under ten minutes. It also features by-wire steering and brakes, advanced Level 2 driver assistance and forged alloy wheels – 21-inch at the front and 22-inch at the rear. The Hypersquare steering system, however, will not be confined to the concept car and will feature on the upcoming E-208.
