Alpine herb milk from the Alpage Mascognaz by Aurelio Vercellin

Just above the fairy-tale village of Mascognaz, which can be reached on foot from Champoluc or by a steeper path that climbs among the larches, is Aurelio Vercellin's mountain pasture. A man who speaks more willingly with his cows than with men, but when he talks about his cheeses, he does so with a sweetness that remains etched in the memory. You can smell, in the milk, a good scent of alpine grass and silence, of mountains and passion: that which has driven this company for more than half a century.
