By chairlift to the milk miracles at Alpe di Mera

The Casera Bianca is a dairy on the Alpe di Mera in Valsesia, at an altitude of 1,500 metres. Antonietta and her family, who settle up here from June to October, prepare genuine dishes using the products of their animals. Cows, goats and pigs are reared by them in Mera or nearby. The high-altitude pastures are exploited in summer, while in winter the main activity is carried out in the barn. To reach the Casera Bianca in summer, one must walk for just 30 minutes along the road from the arrival of the Scopello-Mera chairlift of Monterosa Ski through the centre of the village.
