Between historic farms and thousand-year-old larches in search of the authentic Val D'Ultimo
There is still an 'old-fashioned' tourist South Tyrol, that of the ancient masi converted into accommodation facilities where luxury is above all silence, a rural atmosphere and immersion in the surrounding nature. Val d'Ultimo belongs to this dimension and arriving there by car along the state road that goes up Val di Non and crosses the border with Trentino in the heart of a dense coniferous forest to descend to Santa Valburga, is in itself an emotion. An emotion that in spring is reflected in the colours of the valley floor, amidst the shimmering green of the meadows, the yellow of the dandelion flowers and the blue of the Zòccolo artificial lake, along the banks of which runs a ring-route of about 10 km accessible to everyone, prams included.
