On the Latemar between skiing and meditation

With its sharp peaks (highest elevation Diamantidius, 2,842 m), wild and lonely atmosphere, mountain paths seldom trodden by tourists and rare mountain huts, Latemar, between South Tyrol and Trentino, is one of the most fascinating jewels of the UNESCO Dolomites. Between unique rock formations, the picturesque Carezza Lake, high-altitude art trails (RespirArt) and the famous 'Labyrinth', one is spoilt for choice. Twenty minutes from Bolzano, but with access also from Trentino, the Latemar Dolomites ski area connects Val di Fiemme with Pedrazzo and Pampeago (Olympic valley) and Obereggen- Val D'Ega, which is race-free. Those who want to, either on skis or by comfortable bus, can reach the event venues, or stay away from the hustle and bustle and devote themselves to their leisure time, since the carousel (48 km of slopes and 18 ski lifts) will be open with the exception of the Predazzo-Gardonè cable car (Predazzo valley station). Among the most original experiences to be had in Val D'Ega there is also the Mindful.Latemar Winter Edition, a journey of rediscovery through guided meditative techniques with mindfulness exercises developed by Thomas Bernagozzi a psychologist and certified mindfulness trainer, who among the sites of the Vaia storm that in 2018 uprooted thousands of trees, in the Golfrion in Obereggen created the first mindfulness trail on the entire Alpine arc.
