Palace Merano focuses on athletes with new Alex Schwazer programme
A menu of programmes tailored to the needs of guests make the Palace Merano a place of excellence. The internationally recognised Medical Spa launched the new 'Sport Performance' programme a few months ago, designed for those who practice intense physical activity and wish to improve their athletic performance. The project is supervised by Alex Schwazer, former Olympic march champion, who coordinates personalised training, functional tests and physical recovery strategies, integrating movement, nutrition and preventive medicine. The programme is defined together with the clients, who range from A-list footballers and Olympic athletes to entrepreneurs who want to take care of their physical but also mental health, with a targeted plan to boost memory and attention thanks to state-of-the-art machines. Alongside this programme are the historical paths: from detox & longevity, which acts at the organic and cellular level with the aim of rebalancing metabolism and body weight, to the relax & balance programme, which guides towards a new inner balance, reducing stress, physical and mental tensions. At the Palace Merano, a key element of a profoundly regenerating experience is also the detox and biolight diet, energy massages and hydro-massage, which have always formed the backbone of the programme. In the heart of Merano, the hotel is located in an elegant historic building. The five-star hotel comprises 99 rooms, including 14 junior suites and 30 suites located in the main building, the castle and the panoramic floor. Inside, there is a 6,000-square-metre Revital Centre and an entire 1,500-square-metre state-of-the-art medical floor.
