Sardinia: Cala Mariolu, a wild and unspoilt corner

It is the pearl of the Gulf of Orosei, Cala Mariolu, on the central-eastern coast of Sardinia, a wild and unspoilt corner. Here is an intimate cove, characterised by pink and white pebbles, to be discovered after a walk in the wilderness or a boat trip. It is known for the white and pink stones, mixed with sand, that make it up. The panorama here is astonishing for the infinite shades of blue, emerald green and azure and for the edges that look like snowflakes. The seabed is also worth a dive, as it is the natural habitat of various species. Occasionally, off the coast, dolphins can be seen. Access is complicated and it is best to get there by private boat or by the cove services that leave from the ports of Arbatax, Cala Gonone and Santa Maria Navarrese.
