Thailand: Banana Beach, Phuket's hidden gem

Tucked away along Phuket's west coast, Banana Beach is a little-known gem compared to other beaches on the island. Surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and bathed by turquoise waters, it is an ideal place for swimming, snorkelling or simply relaxing away from the crowds. A scooter or car can be hired to get there and the peak season is from December to May, with the sun shining and the sea calm and inviting. However, if you decide to visit in low season, be aware that the waves may be higher and less suitable for swimming or water sports.
