From Piedmont to Friuli, the pleasure of skiing (and snowshoeing) in the March sunshine
Alpe Cimbra, the ski plateau for all
Between Folgaria, Lavarone and Luserna there is a family-friendly ski resort for intermediate snow enthusiasts, where the mountain is wide and never extreme, and in this early spring particularly bright and with milder temperatures. The ski resort is located at altitudes between 1,000 and 1,850 metres in an easily accessible environment, with a total of about 100 kilometres of slopes that are easily accessible thanks to the new features introduced at the beginning of the winter season, such as the new 10-seater Leitner gondola (also designed for the summer service for hikers, bikers and families) that replaced the historic cable car that had been in operation since the 1970s and that connects Francolini (1,178 m) to Sommo Alto (1,620 m) in about eight minutes along a 2.8 kilometre route. The attraction for all is the new Francolini slope, over 3.2 kilometres of descent immersed in the forest with snow guaranteed by the latest generation TechnoAlpin snow cannons. And for those who want to get their fill of nature without skis on their feet and enjoy the mountains away from the tourist peaks of the high season, there is no shortage of opportunities for snowshoeing, tobogganing and excursions with food and wine stops linked to Trentino and Cimbrian traditions.
