From Piedmont to Friuli, the pleasure of skiing (and snowshoeing) in the March sunshine
Skiing until May in Pila with a free ski pass
Those who know this ski area know that it takes less than half an hour from the centre of Aosta to climb to the 2,723 metres of Couis and enjoy a view of the peaks over 4,000 metres in Valle d'Aosta. Altitude and accessibility are the ingredients on which Pila proposes its white spring, confirming the opening of the district until 3 May thanks to the possibility of reaching the high altitude areas where snow is guaranteed by cable car. The district, as a whole, covers 70 kilometres of slopes served by 13 lifts, with almost complete snowmaking, and offers ample tracks for intermediate skiers and more technical ones for those looking for rhythm and gradients, in addition to the Areaeffe Snowpark for snowboarders and freestylers, the Fun Slope upgraded in a family key, and the Chacard playground with tubing and sleds. Alongside alpine skiing, the range of experiences includes ski mountaineering, day and night snowshoeing and dinners in mountain huts that can be reached by snowcat. New at the end of the season is "Pila Senza Pensieri" (Pila without Thoughts), a promotion that, from 8 March to 3 May, gives a ski pass to those who stay at least three nights on midweek days in participating establishments (rates from 220 euro per night for two people in a double room). Among the appointments not to be missed, on 14 March "I Light Pila" returns, a solidarity torchlight procession in collaboration with Komen Italia.
