From Piedmont to Abruzzo: the snow season kicks off with downhill runs, snowshoeing and wellness
Pontedilegno-Tonale between dynamic ski passes and high altitude events
Thanks to the November snowfalls and low temperatures, the Presena glacier welcomed skiers early on 22 November, making available (with the daily ski pass at 43 euro) part of the 46 slopes that make up the entire area of more than 100 km of tracks served by 30 ski lifts that connect Temù, Ponte di Legno, the Tonale Pass and precisely Presena. The official opening of the season is set for 6 December, with a party in the square in Ponte di Legno, in the heart of the pedestrian area: the Smart Skipass formula is also active this year, with dynamic discounts of up to 25% for those who buy in advance, the Junior category is extended to 18 years of age, and hotel + skipass packages are available (in specific periods) with reductions from 20% to 30% on the list price. For those who choose this destination between Lombardy and Trentino for skiing, the not-to-be-missed appointment is on the famous Paradiso slope, 3 km long with 700 metres of altitude difference and a maximum slope gradient of 45%, and with night skiing on the illuminated Valena and Valbione slopes. Snowshoeing, snowmobiles, dog sledding, snowkiting and electric karts on the snow, as well as the Fantaski areas dedicated to children, are on the menu
of a winter season that will offer a series of events, from the torchlight processions of the masters between the end of December and the beginning of January (with fireworks) to the Paradice Music Festival (from 10 January to 4 April) with its concerts at an altitude of 2,600 metres, and the Moonlight Caspolada, to be held on 28 February.
