He is co-founder and president of Orogel, an agricultural cooperative company founded in Cesena in 1967 on the initiative of an initial group of 11 farmers and today one of the leading producers of fresh and frozen vegetables in Italia. Under his leadership Orogel has developed an integrated model of agricultural supply chain and industrial processing. Today, the Group brings together 5 cooperatives and 1,675 agricultural members. It cultivates around 9,500 hectares and operates 3 production plants in Cesena, Policoro and Ficarolo, 5 warehouses and 14 pick-up centres. It markets over 148 thousand tonnes of product every year. In the last 10 years, it has invested around 300 million euro in logistics, sustainability and expansion. It employs 2,420 people, 1,340 of whom are directly employed.
