Vincenzo Andronaco - 1951 - Overseas (Germany) - Tertiary Food Trade

He is founder and managing director of the Andronaco Group, active in Germany in the wholesale and retail marketing of Italian gastronomic specialities. Originally from Messina, at the age of 18 he moved to Germany where he started working as a labourer in the construction industry. In 1983, he started his first business in Hamburg, a fruit and vegetable shop. Today, the Andronaco Group imports more than 9,000 food items, including around 1,900 Italian wine labels. It operates in Germany with nine distribution centres with a total area of 50,000 square metres and a network of 10 supermarkets and bistros. It employs 300 people.
