He is president and managing director of La Sportiva, a company founded by his grandfather in 1928 as an artisan workshop for the production of boots for lumberjacks and farmers in the Dolomite valleys and today active in the production of footwear and technical clothing for the mountains. He has guided its development through the creation of new products and the strengthening of its presence on foreign markets. Today, La Sportiva operates with a production plant in Valle di Fiemme and through a US subsidiary serves the North American and Mexican markets. It is present in about 80 countries with an export share of 82%. Every year it markets over two million shoes. It employs 790 people.
