He is chairman of Fontana Gruppo, a family company founded in 1952 and today one of the world leaders in the production of screws and bolts. He joined the company in the 1980s and promoted the international strengthening of the Group with the establishment of Fontana USA, of which he took over the chairmanship, and with the acquisitions of the US company Acument Global Technologies and the Indian company BG Fastening. In more recent years, he continued a strategy of growth by external lines. Today, he leads a Group with 26 plants in Europe, the Americas and Asia, 37 logistics centres, three research centres and achieves an export of 90%. It holds 145 patents. It employs over 4,000 people. He is also chairman of the Villa d'Este Group, which is mainly active in the luxury hotel business in Cernobbio.
